Moderate risk was issued today for western Oklahoma - but could not chase due to work. Missed a beautiful tornado that was seen near sunset in Cordell by many chasers (what is it with that place and beautiful tornadoes near sunset?).

A few observations from Norman....while leaving my day job this afternoon (2:25pm) I saw a nice horseshoe vortex just to my west. From the late afternoon hours on it really felt more like a spring day along the California coast than a spring day in Oklahoma. The visibility was great and the southerly breezes did not feel warm and moist at all - even though temps were around 70 and dewpoints were in the low 60s it almost felt chilly out.
