down day at chimney rock

The weather pattern had changed little since yesterday. Storms fired today up in Skool Bird country (Grand Forks ND), but since we had already committed ourselves to the Front Range we let these storms go. Instead we drove around the Nebraska panhandle, visiting Chimney Rock and Scott's Bluff. Later in the day we drove to Torrington WY since Ed had never been to Wyoming before.

Ed points out a 7-bag irrigator with a spur.
Chimney Rock.....if you stand on your head it kinda looks like a tornado.
Shawn and Ed fire up the dish to get some weather info....and find that the only tornado warning in the nation is way up in Polk County MN.
Welcome to Scott's Bluff...which is just outside the city of Scottsbluff....which is in the county of Scotts Bluff.
